Hello everybody! We are back! It is time to play the Pseudo Champions League VII! Welcome to the instructions for the PCL-VII cup! (See the PCL History) This tournament features teams from all around the world, from the bottom 3 divisions of their countries. It starts on November 4th, 2008, and has 8 groups with 32 teams. After the Group Stage (6 weeks), there will be Eliminations and the final will be on January 7th, 2009. Here are the instructions how you can play in this cup: 1. Registration. If you haven't played in CupManager, go to the www.CupManager.org website. On the left side, Register yourself in the website. Use your HatTrick username and security code (not the password!) 2. Log on. Go to www.CupManager.org and from the left side log on with your username and security code. 3. Read the Rules for more info about CupManager here: (http://cupmanager.org/files/index.php?mainpage=rules) 4. Find the cup. On the left side, go to Search and find the cup with ID number 96119 or just follow this link: http://cupmanager.org/files/index.php?mainpage=cupdetails&szMenu=main&nCupId=92225 5. Join the cup. Then on the right side, go to Registration. You will be listed in the Waiting List, and later the administrator will accept you and put you in a group. NOTE: Hurry up! There is a limited number of teams from one country. HINT: If you are rejected from the tournament, keep in mind that only teams from the bottom 3 divisions of their countries, not older than 9 seasons and with total players' TSI below 400,000 will be enlisted for participation. This is done in order to maintain a relatively even balance of forces in the tournament. 6. See your group. When all groups are full, you will receive a message from the administrator. So don't arrange any friendlies before the administrator writes a message to you! The cup starts on 4th November. After you receive the "Groups" message, on the right side, go to Groups and check your group. 7. See your program. On the right side, go to Fixtures/Results. Check your opponent in your first match. HINT: If you wonder what's next, don't worry. Before every game, the administrator will send you instructions about your next match. 8. Challenge your opponent. When the time for your match comes, go back to HatTrick and find your opponent there (using his team’s name, ID or username). You must challenge this team for a FRIENDLY game on the NORMAL rules (not “cup” rules!) and the match should be played on the stadium of one of the two teams - please respect the home rule according to the program! NOTE: The deadline for challenging your next opponent will be from Thursday until Monday 12:00 HT time! - If he doesn’t accept your invitation until then, please write a message to the administrator. He will confirm that you win 5-0 by forfeit, and you can find someone else to play a friendly against. - If you don’t accept your opponent’s invitation until Monday 12:00, you will lose the match 0-5, and the administrator will write a message to you, asking if you want to continue playing in this cup any more. If there is no answer within 12 hours (Monday 23:59), you will be removed from the cup and substituted with another team! 9. The match. When you play your first friendly game, the result will appear automatically in the cup’s website on Cupmanager. The same will happen after all your matches in the tournament. 10. Group stage. You must challenge your opponents from the group in the same way, week after week. This way you will play six (6) matches in the group, and you will meet each of your group opponents twice - once at home and once away. The first two teams from the group will progress to the elimination stage. 11. Elimination stage. The program of the elimination stage will appear after the end of the group stage. If you are in the elimination stage, you will have to check the program and challenge your next opponent for a FRIENDLY game on the CUP rules (not “normal" rules!) and this time the match will be played on a NEUTRAL stadium (you will receive instructions about the neutral matches). 12. Trophies. If you reach the semi-finals, a medal will appear next to your team’s name on the CupManager.org website, and will stay there forever. Hopefully, that would be a golden medal! :-) HINTS: Please, do not apply for this cup if you do not intend to participate seriously, i.e. if you think you can play just one or two games and then quit before all group games have been played, because this way you will leave the other teams in a complicated situation. Please, do not apply for this cup if you are not from one of the three bottom divisions in your country, or if your team is older than nine seasons.
