The tournament
The new Pseudo Champions League tournament will start on January 22 (after Week 9 of the regular HT season), and the final will be on March 6.
PRIZES: The winner gets a 2-month gold supporter, and the runner up gets a 1-month gold supporter.
The tournament
The tournament is part of the HIFFA Tournaments group, and it is in association with the European Hattrick Federation, which means more teams, more fun, and even bigger prizes! :-)
We begin on January 22.
Format
The groups are automatically arranged according to the teams' ranking from their performance last season in the PCL and Europa Cup.
The rules
01. All matches will be played as Normal friendly matches on HT.
02. Each team will play one game at home, one away and finally one at a neutral arena in the group stage. In the knock-out stage (played by the Cup Rules), we will use the following pairing system:
And the final will be played on a neutral arena (March 6).
All the scores and schedule will be done automatically by the official website:

03. Teams still playing in their National Cups at the time the PCL begins, will have to skip their first matches in the group phase, losing them 0-5 (walkover). The PCL40 will start between Week-9 and 10 of the current HT season, so most teams will already be out of their National Cups. The final will be played in the "empty" week after the end of the HT season.
04. The Home/Away rule should be respected as will be shown in the group schedule. If a team challenges another at the wrong stadium, they are risking having -2 goals deducted from their score. Please be careful when sending and accepting challenges!
Tip: You could take print-screen pictures as proof of these things in case they are needed.
04a. In the rare cases when there is no other option than sending a single-challenge (thus one team unfairly losing the home advantage), -2 goals will be deducted from the other team's score in compensation.
04b. All teams are recommended to check their friendly challenge settings: you should be available for challenging, and you should not be permanently placed in an automatic friendly-arranging pool.
05. It doesn't matter who challenges whom (the home team or away team) - what matters is that the match should be arranged in time. The deadline for arranging the matches is Monday 23:59 HT time. If a team fails to meet that deadline, they lose the match 0-5, and the other team has the right to find another team for a friendly that week. You can make print-screen pictures as proof that you have challenged your opponent within the deadline.
06. VERY IMPORTANT!!! THE HATSTATS LIMIT REMAINS! Teams will not be allowed to make more than 340 HatStats in a normal friendly game (the limit is 310 in single-match challenge). The purpose of this rule is to synchronize our rules with those of the HIFFA Club World Cup. A more detailed explanation, here: (17137859.169)
You can calculate your HatStats if you install the Foxtrick add-on to your browser - DOWNLOAD FOXTRICK HERE: (https://www.foxtrick.org/download)
Then go to MyHattrick - Preferences - Site Preferences - Match Order Interface - select "Use old match order interface"...
And then predict your HatStats in the match, following these steps:
We suggest that you make sure you have 330 Hatstats at most in the matches, to avoid possible miscalculations and misunderstandings.*
Teams that violate this rule will be penalized as follows:*
- 341/346 hatstats - the team is deducted 1 goal
- 346/350 hatstats - the team is deducted 3 goals
- 351/355 hatstats - the team is deducted 5 goals
- 356+ hatstats - the team loses 0:5
Two 356+ violations, or three 341+ violations, will result in disqualification from the tournament.*
* for single-match challenges, all these figures are 30 points lower
